A special early Valentine’s day — GD baked

As always when my gd visits she's the cook and baker🙂

Tonights dinner was a delicious meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans (fresh) and this beautiful cake.

Of course, the icing was made by me, but, the cake and decorating was her work. I'm impressed with her piping skills & how she "designs" the cake on paper. (we enjoyed the cake but scraped the extra icing😉). I blocked out her info because she "signed" the cake...lol

She's 10 and loves to watch those cooking & baking shows. Tomorrow she plans to make guacamole (fresh) & taco bar for dinner. Boy I'm gonna miss her when they leave☹️🥲-- I'm spoiled when she's here😉

And she is a very neat cook, she cleans up the dishes as she goes along -- she loves washing dishes...her dad loves that me too!

Thank you she is!! sadly she lives 1500 miles away, but, lucky for us her dad & her love "road trips"🙂🙂

thank you we do share a "special bond" long distance ...we cook & bake via Skype -- but,hmmmm she's always the teacher😉 and just enjoy special moments together. Thinking about this she even has better lunches than me!!! lol

@homedecor1 : Your post brought a smile to my face. I am awaiting the birth of my first grandchild, a baby girl, and hope that we share all of the love and fun you obviously experience with your GD. I know this also has to lift the spirts of your DH with his DS there with you all. Enjoy each day as I know you are.

What a sweetie you have for a granddaughter. What special memories you are making w/ her. She will always remember this time w/ you and smile at the fun you two had together.

And it's not quite 8 am here in Seattle and I want cake!
