So mad!——got an email saying that my Faroe salmon may be cancelled. Having issues with the supply . This is the 3rd year getting it. Dang it!!!

@wagirl   Salmon all over is hard to come by because of the lack of salmon. In California, it is hard to get. Unless is farmed.  I get my salmon from Alaska, and when they get it it's 37@ lb.

@wagirl   Definitely disappointing, but I suspect the salmon supply chain is suffering one more of the various effects of climate change I never thought about years ago.

I've had other QVC food auto-deliveries get cancelled on me.  I'm truly fed up.

Faroe Island salmon is a key stable for me.  So much so that I stopped trusting QVC with my orders.  

I found a Restaurant Depot store near me, and they have the exact same Faroe Island salmon.  Same quality, packaged the same, but comes in a choice of 6oz portions or 8oz portions (QVC sells the 6oz portions on AD).  The price is about half the cost of QVC price!  Half.

I've been purchasing my Faroe Island salmon from Restaurant Depot for the past year.  I can either drive there in person, or order from them -- they deliver the same day.

I did find a restaurant depot in the town I just moved from!! Had no idea it was there. It won't let me just look at stuff unless I sign up with them and read the reviews and it got horrible ones about the staff mostly. will check into it tho.

@wagirl  The one near me is about 5 miles away.  But I've never been inside; I have no desire to actually go in there.   I do all my ordering of Restaurant Depot through the app Uber Eats.  I'm happy that I'm in their delivery radius. 

Their Faroe Island salmon is the only thing I get from them, usually two orders at a time.  That's all.  But you must check the box "Do Not Replace," otherwise they'ill substitute your order for salmon that available (lesser salmon, and then they adjust your cost lower).

I love Restaurant Depot. There is one about 10 mins from my house. I usually buy a case of cheesesteak egg rolls (my son loves them) and a case of their breaded chicken breasts. I will definitely look for the salmon next time I'm there.
