We have the original Ninja Foodi Grill.  I’ve been using it for a year, never even fired up the Weber when the weather was nice. It does a great job on steaks, chops, and chicken breasts.

I have that machine.  Got it on Amazon for $159.  It was a one-day deal.  I actually wasn't in the market at the time, but was sorta thinking about one because my Jenn-Aire grill smoked a lot and I had an asthmatic cat.  I was thinking that since they had recently come out with a newer model, this one might go on sale especially before Christmas.  But, when I saw that deal I decided to go for it.

I really like it.  I prefer it over the newer XL model since it fits my space and it has a deeper main pot for baking/roasting things.  Also, it has a larger heating element than the XL which translates to better browning.

It's not as easy peazy to clean if you're particular about that.  All the parts are dishwasher safe, but I don't run my dishwasher every time I cook, so I hand-wash it and even though the grill is non-stick, the curved indents are kinda hard to get all the grease out of.  Also, if you notice in the presentations, if you don't clean that silver filter/element cover every time you use it, you'll end up with a blackened one especially underneath the element.  It seems that filter is where the odor builds up if it's anything like my Jenn-aire fan and I don't want an odor build-up.  Hubby had already complained about that with the Jenn-Aire.  Spraying with Dawn Power-wash and letitng it sit seems to do a good job with that.  Also, a lot of folks on a FB group I'm on highly recommend Awesome cleaner from the Dollar-type stores, so I picked up a bottle the other day for $1 to try.

I haven't used the Air-Crisp function on it yet since I have a small stand-alone air fryer.  The capacity is not much more at 4 qt for both this machine and the XL.  I bought it more for the grill and I'm also interested in the roast function.  I did roast a turkey breast in it for Thanksgiving and it came out great.

I have this also but I have the one with the probe. It is truly awesome for grilling steaks medium rare - perfect every time. I also use the air fryer funtion a lot - for frozen fries and other kinds of snacks that DH likes. I use it almost more than any other small appliance. Oh, you can also roast in it. My only complaint is that it is not deep enough for a whole chicken.

Another one here who bought it at Amazon for $159 but with the probe instead of skewers.  It gets used every day and it bakes nicely.  Cornbread muffins all browned very evenly, better than the big oven.

I use the grill feature least at this time due to Dr.s orders to cut back on red meat.  Air frying chicken and fish works best for me.

If your not on the cholesterol pill it's a fantastic alternative to not enjoying foods any more.

My cholesterol went from 236 to 160. I can now enjoy fried foods and butter again. I tried to do it on my own . My good cholesterol overpowered the bad only reason they didn't put me on it sooner. Finally , I got tired of eating one steak a month, one egg a week, buying substitue butter, I was miserable and felt like I was being punished and told my FNP put me on the same pill as my husband is taking. He enjoyed big thick steaks, double burgers, etc.

Now, when I eat out no more plain ol'spuds . Bring on the butter !

I wish there was a pill for fatty liver.  My liver is on a diet,  LOL  Sometime next Spring, I'll get retested to see if it is clear so I can resume a more normal diet and have an occasional rum.  I feel so much better and have lost a bunch of weight.  Fatty liver is very common, people often don't know they have it until it starts to hurt.

These air fryers are fantastic for cutting back and they do a good job on roasting veggies, too.
