@blissfullysweet : People have the option to pay what they want for something.
DH and friend traveled 1 1/2 hours to purchase cases of peaches. This year the peaches were a good size and about 45 peaches in each case for $30. Better peach crop this year.

We purchase peaches from The Peach Truck. We pre-order and pick up at the destination listed. Sometimes it's at the tractor supply stores. Check it out. They are delicious!!! There are too many in the bushel so, I slice and freeze ripe ones.

I laughed at that little "steal of a deal" myself. Peaches aren't coming in yet where I live--but come August and Sept they will be and they are as delicious and pretty sure I could get a few BOXES of many more than 12 for the same price.

@SaveTheTurtles : Ok. But for me: My Georgia peaches.🤓
@SaveTheTurtles wrote:Idaho peaches are the best, imo. Look for them in the grocery stores. Way better than other states fruit.

@blissfullysweet Although I love a juicy sweet peach, that price is ridiulously high. plus peaches ripen and go bad quickly, i would probaby have to freeze some of them, such a hassle. I prefer to buy a few at the time at local grocery or farmers market.

I have often thought that taking orders from friends and family, ( get the money up front for each order) and driving to Georgia during peak peach season, bringing back everyone's order. That way we could have some for us, some for others and even bring some home to sell in the yard, to cover gas and travel expense. There is nothing that compares to Georgia peaches, but I will not pay 4.00 each! Ridiculous.

@KG60 : I live in Georgia and when DH makes the trip for peaches the cases are for us, friends and family.
