$30 for three jars of pickles?

Yikes! They introduced a new brand and I just couldn't imagine anyone paying that much for 3 jars of pickles!

If they sell they will be back, if no one wants them it is all over for the product. {#emotions_dlg.blink} Market place rules!

Re: $30 for three jars of pickles?

I LOVE pickles and I buy a few brands here and there that are $6.99 for a big tub of them. This is pricey to me, but I (and my kids and DH) love them so I get them. But I do not think that I would pay $10+ s&H, that's where I would draw the line with my pickle consumption. A girl's gotta have some limits!Cool

Why not make your own for about 1/3 of that?

Great project if you have kids. Plus you'll know what you're eating.

Hi Snowpuppy-I've been reading about making pickles for years now and I've never done it. Your post might be the nudge I need!

I would have purchased these but I looked online and they had 6 grams of sugar - and that was just for the standard dill pickles. I really don't like sugary pickles. If they would have been just 2 grams I may have bought. I really wish QVC would list the nutritional value on their food products.

For that price, I would do without pickles. I rarely eat them anyway.

I think the customers will sour on the pickles at that price.

Why not head out to a local farmer's market and talk to the vendors?

I started going a few years ago. Such a great time buying locally grown produce and most will talk your ear off if you're interested in how to prepare.

Far better quality than what I can get at my local grocer and with prices going thru the roof the trip is worthwhile!
