Somehow all of these recipes with Aldi's products does not at all surprise me.  Aldi's is my GO-TO everytime I go grocery shopping.  Of course there are still a few items that I can't get there.

And in fact I have a port tenderloin from ALdi's in my crock pot right now!!!  It's the mesquite flavored one - makes some holy cow, these pulled pork sandwiches are the best!!!  Yes, that's what I'm trying this tenderloin into.  Had to go to kroger's this morning to pick up some coleslaw to go with however!!!

OK - so kroger's was on my way home from the dentist!!!

Can't wait for dinner tonight!!!  And I too will be checking out your list of recipes.

Night, thank you for this list!

PinkD, that's the only meat my Aldi's doesn't carry, the fresh tenderloin.  They have the marinated ones.

How are you making your tenderloin?

Get your flu shot...because I didn't.

Ms HonnyBrown, here's what I know about Aldi's - it is sort of hit and miss with their products ie, they'll have them for awhile, run out then it may be a little while before they re-order they same or get them back in stock.  So you just have to be patient sometimes and keep checking back.  Even if you're not there for an item, you ALWAYS need to check anyway because they may it but it's not on your list that day.

ANyway, my Aldi's usually has the (plain) regular loin and 2 or 3 flavored ones.  My mesquite is is one that I really like the flavor of and buy it often.  Their bbq one is really good too.  In fact, I'll usually more opt for a flavored one.

To keep yesterday's moist while cooking I first put in an 8oz can of tomato sauce, loin in, then topped it with a can of salsa flavored tomatoes that  my Aldi's have right now.  Those are crazy good and a bit spicy too.  We love spicy so they worked great.

Dinner was killer good!  I bought sub buns at kroger's, made the cole slaw (slaw on the sandwiches). Man oh man, they were freaking tasty!!!!  I pulled the pork and added some of the sauce to it to moisten it.  I also put some on my plate and dipped into it.

Today's lunch for both hubby and me - leftover pulled pork sandwiches!!!!!
