2 qt. Cooks Essentials Pressure Cooker

Is this worth buying?  I have never used a pressure cooker.  I cook for one and like to have some leftovers or extra to freeze of certain items.  (I eat small portions and I like to cook.)

Oh yeah, if you don't want to eat tough meat. If you don't eat steak, chuck roast, pork roast, any kind of thick meat guess you can get by without it. I tenderize all meat.

Faster cooked whole potatoes. Or make soups or stews from the meat you have pressurized in the pot by adding your own vegetables.

A pressure cooker I couldn't live without. My husband has to have meat big on protein. I'm not cooking any kind of roast for hrs. on end like David says his mother used to do. I still brown mine in oven, but, now days you can brown in the pressure cooker or Instant Pot then make them fall off the bone.

Oh yeah, ribs, also, you can put in there. I'm lucky I have a oval one for that, too

@Daysdee: Just my opinion no, because you can only fill the PC 3/4 full. When I was single always purchased a 6 qt PC to have enough for meal and to freeze left overs. Southern Bee

@Daysdee   NO!  LOL!!!  Get the 3 qt. Instant Pot instead!  I just cooked an entire meal in it, in 3 batches in 30 minutes for all three.  I use it all the time.  There are lots of accessories for it like a lift-out steamer basket, racks, and such.  You can get sealing stop to store things in the stainless liner, egg racks (makes fabulous boiled eggs!).

It is my most used and most loved kitchen appliance!  I can't say enough about it.  I've had Cuisinart F  gor and other brands of pressure cookers both electric and stove top and this is THE best!  Instant Pot is great!

2qt would be too small for 1 person.

I can’t imagine what one could cook in that small pot.

Have to remember...there needs to be ‘pressure room’

on top of the food for it to work. Just too small, IMO.

I've been thinking about getting this for awhile. I have a big one but wanted this one for sides and smaller dishes. Was about to order it today to take advantage of the free shipping. I noticed they had the same model on 'as is' so I ordered. It was about 12 bucks cheaper and no shipping. I looked elsewhere and couldn't get anywhere near that price. I'll soon find out if it was a good deal. It has really good ratings.

Re: 2 qt. Cooks Essentials Pressure Cooker

I would not waste my money on a 2 qt pressure cooker.

Don't think you could cook much in that size.

Only 2 of us. I have 2 6 qt pressure cookers. I have a backup. LOL!!! If one quits working I will buy another one.

If you don't need it right away I'm sure you can find a good deal on one Black Friday or Cyber Monday coming up next month.

I'm pretty sure Amazon had the 6 & 8 qt deals last year.

Also, you can get "parts" for the Instant Pot 3 quart.  You can get a second inner pot, then make chili and put it in the fridge while still using the pot to cook things in.

Being able to buy other accessories that fit is a great thing. Check out Amazon and see what is available.
