I wish Judith Ripka was still doing shows. I purchased a lot of her jewelry and it has stood the test of time and all pieces are still beautiful.  I know Judith Ripka sold her company and she is in her 80's, but still her shows were great. Heidi Ripka was also good - not like Judith but still very knowledgeable.  On Gem Days JAI seems to have replaced Judith Ripka as their best selling brand.  I have purchased a lot of JAI and I enjoy their jewelry also.

@culebra    IMO there was too much of Ripka during her heyday and now there's way too much of Jai.  People get burned out on it.

@culebra

I have two Ripka watches and wish I'd bought more before they were all gone.  I love them both.

I missed J.R. on the gem day show as well.

I only purchased Judith Ripka gold, and I never became "burned out."  In fact, nowadays I regret that I did not purchase more, because back then I thought some of the gold prices were too high, and now they would be bargains.

J.R. gold was never skimpy, always had intricate details and high craftsmanship, and was very pretty.  Some of the J.R. gold pieces on the website now have been there for years--they never reduce the prices, they never sell, and they rarely add anything new.

I think JAI is very well done, but I do not wear silver, and the pieces seem a bit big and bold for me.  I was hoping they would do more gold, but with the super high prices, I suppose not.

I first started shopping at QVC because of jewelry, but now I mainly buy fashion and food.  I miss the Lisa Robertson Italy gold shows as well--those were my favorite, and I think they are just memories now, never to be repeated.

@culebra   Judith's daughter has many lovely pieces here now - I think they're lovely. Price points from affordable to very high priced as they should be I think. I can't afford them but I she offers to many pocketbooks.
