I could be wrong, but  I think they insure their stuff when it's sent to you.  You should call and ask them.

It could be to get people to sign up for their plan to get shipping reimbursement at $15.99 a month automatically charged to you but... in order to get reimbursemtnt you have to file for it.  They also include a percentage like Rakutan again you have to file for each so they are probably counting on more forgetting while still collecting the $15.99 each month.  I just clicked on more info when that program first started and ended up being enrolled.  When I saw the $15.99 after inquiring, I immediately called and they did refund me right away.

@Pook that's interesting, didn't know that had such a thing.  Shop HQ has always been higher in the shipping department.  For as long as I can remember.

I received this reply from Shophq about the high s/h cost on that item I talked about:

It's several factors that are taken into consideration when determining the shipping and handling cost, things that we consider is cost of packaging supplies, labor cost and internal cost and shipping cost among other factors.

They also have the nerve to charge tax on supplements which we do not pay here in MD. I have wrtten to them and told them i deserve a credit for the tax, and they have refused. 

They will mark an item down to 9.99 and then charge 7.99 to ship it!!
