slow processing jewelry orders

[ Edited ]

This past 2 weeks I have 4 jewelry orders that have been "in process"  from 4-7 days.  I called customer service a few times and they say they will eventually get shipped and nothing is wrong.  However I have don't remember ever having this long of an "in process" time period.  Hope they all get shipped.   Anyone else having this problem with jewelry shipping since Jan. 3rd?

Re: slow processing jewelry orders

I had ordered an Affinity item.  After watching it "in process" for 5 days.  I decided to cancel the order.  I was expecting to get a message that it was being shipped and too late to cancel.  Howevr, not so.  It took the cancellation.  Didn't need that item anyway, I guess.

Re: slow processing jewelry orders

I'm presently involved in a bit of a mess with a previous LTS that came in three colors.

They were "guaranteed for delivery before Christmas Eve." I ordered one of each color, and all three appeared in my order history as shipped, with one being dated as shipping a day later than the other two.

Two arrived on Christmas Eve Day, no problem.

The third, supposedly shipped, had the "Unfortunately no tracking information......" message from day one.

After not receiving it for 7 or so business days, I contacted CS and a second item was sent. It immediately went into "In Process". It is still there, BUT now indicated as "too late to cancel".

Since I REALLY wanted the item, I then sent for it as a "clearance" item, at about $6.50 more than the LTS that had been "sent" twice.

You got it - clearance is in transit, and neither LTS is anywhere in sight. I'm HOPING that CS will straighten this out so that I receive the correct credits, return fees etc.

I will report what happens once the whole thing is taken care of.

I guess I'm not the only one going through this.   Sorry that others have been waiting too.  I really don't understand what is going on.  I have been with QVC for 20 years, and have never had this problem.  I'm afraid the consequence to this long wait is that I might get back ordered on one of the items that has now turned to "waitlist", even though I put in my order when it was available.  Then I may never get the item or may have to wait 2-3 months.  A disappointment for sure.  Hope others will keep posting on the progress of their jewelry orders.

That was why I ordered even knowing that the price was higher. My experience with QVC has actually been very good when this kind of thing happens.

We'll see.

Re: slow processing jewelry orders

I ordered a pair of earrings that were "in process" for over a week. The other night I cancelled them out of annoyance, figuring I really don't need them anyway. The system took my cancellation with no problem, so clearly they weren't in the shipment stream yet. Strange as QVC usually ships promptly.
