decided to put this ring on marketplace. i picked it up at a pawn shop probably 30 years ago. it's 14k with a scrolled victorian type frame, and this stone.  

sorry for the photo. it the color of a deep turquoise mottled with navy/black?  any clue anyone. thanks

Hi, @kittyloo !  A bit hard to tell but I'd guess either Maw Sit Sit or Zoisite.  Zoisite

if the stone has flecks of red, it could be ruby zoisite.  Hope this helps!

@MJDinVegas  thanks for the response. do either of these stones come in a turquoise color?  both looked very green to me.  my stone is not really green at all

just did a little digging, and i think that you are spot on with the zoilite.  marketing is everything when selling jewelry.
