If you do go to a jeweler, check to see if they are a gemologist, certified or not. I once had an employee at one of our local jewelers identify my Peruvian blue opal earrings as plastic. I got these from QVC and knew exactly what it was, but I was looking for some pieces to go with it.

Happy to help, @kittyloo ! FYI, the zoisite is the "parent" mineral for tanzanite, so it can run to the blue side. I think the Maw Sit Sit tends more to green but could be wrong.
