Why are these in silvertone and goldtone.  I like the price but don't know why they are in silvertone and goldtone.  Is this normal for Diamonique?

They used to brag that Diamonique was always set in precious metal.  Guess that has changed.  At least its priced so those on a budget can participate.  Something for everyone.

I agree with @Kachina624 that this creates a pricepoint accessible to a large group - possibly those trying Diamonique for the first time.  Also this is a designer Diamonique product (Lisa Freed) and more than likely the designer has discretion to use the metals of her choice for the final product.
