I love Alice in Wonderland but wonder if this necklace would be a bit too much to wear. What do you think?

no way. not too much at all. i would showcase it with a solid color top/dress.

I would wear it with a cute white tee shirt and jeans or wrap it and wear it as a bracelet! Really pretty!

It's actually cute. It would probably be a conversation piece.
I think it would depend on the occasion. It would be best as the only jewelry, paired with a solid color dress, or top. Otherwise, it could begin to look clownish.

It would be too, too much for me because the the theme is so juvenile. Looks like something made for kids.

As others have stated, it would look great with a solid color top. I'd certainly wear it.
