They are pretty, hopefully they will do more pieces with this type of treatment.  It reminds me of all the various "Mystic Topaz" stones they used to offer.  I still have and wear a couple rings.  They have held up well, although I don't wear them or clean them often.

I totally missed the mystic topaz fad and now I'm sorry. So I'm sure I'll be buying the watermelon, tie dye, whatever they are calling this stuff.  Mary Beth had on a beautiful ring but I was too busy to stop and check it out.

I think the tie-dye stones are doublets where they use colored (glass maybe) under a layer of clear DMQ CZ material. You'd have to get it home and inspect it up close to see it, but I'm pretty sure that's what they are, doublets. I've only seen this type of CZ treatment online where a stone manufacturer was selling them in 2 to 8 colored sections within a single stone. Looks like the DMQ stones have 8 colored sections in each stone. It's done with quartz most of the time, where they make the doublets with color to mimic other colored gems.
