I've stopped wearing my expensive pieces in public. Even stopped wearing my fake diamonds and gold plated stuff, too, out there. If I'm wearing any then I hide it until I get somewhere safe. I don't feel safe anymore. You never know who's watching or when. 

With a 'fiesta' bracelet like that it's carefree and fun to wear.

Very pretty bracelet.   I too am wearing more "costume" jewelry out.  Don't feel comfortable wearing the expensive stuff out in public any more like @SilleeMee said.  Goes for carrying expensive handbags too.
