Re: camera shots on earrings - a request for QVC

This thread should be in the QVC Suggestion Box section ..... and I agree, QVC camera work is truly HORRIBLE .... they should be doing close ups on the SIDE of the models' faces for earrings!

Women have different shaped faces .... Oval, Round, Heart Shape, etc etc ..... and I don't want to see a shot of the model's nose .... or so far back that instead of seeing the earrings, you can actually see the model's waist!

HOW is this supposed to be helpful? {#emotions_dlg.confused1}

It has been suggested there dozens of times. It's falling on deaf ears. QVC has an ears problem.

It seems to be the way with all the home shopping networks. At least QVC has decent measurement photos compared to the others. And several items look very similar across all the shopping networks now. I've even seen the same items on Amazon also.

Re: camera shots on earrings - a request for QVC

I wish QVC would direct the models to turn their heads away from the camera instead of facing it directly. The models don't seem to understand that we want to see the earrings and not their face. The director moves the camera to get a side view of the model so we can actually see the earrings but the models just turn their faces towards the camera as it moves defeating the whole point.

Some of the no frills networks don't have models. The hosts double as models, so they have an upside down L shaped clear earring holder that allows the earring to be held to the ear without putting it on. It gives you size perspective, but won't show how the earring "hangs." Better than nothing.
