They appear to be wide hoops which would also fit the time period.

I'd search on etsy for wide gold vintage hoops. I saw some similar beauties there. LOVE Joni and hope she is doing well.

They are certainly an odd shape, very wide at the bottom then not at the top. I ahve looked high and low, but I will just keep trying, yes, maybe Etsy!

They looked like they were really heavy on her ears, but that was back when gold was cheaper & she could probably well afford such a heavy gold earring.
