How did it get to be May already?

Gorgeous spring day today, after suffering with summertime heat for the better part of last week. It was too much, too soon & my body had trouble adjusting.

Today is the baby shower and I must move along quickly. Our gift, a convertible play yard type thingy from Graco, 2 bibs extolling the benefits of grandma & grandpa, and a plump check, along with paying for the shower, is our contribution to the celebration. Ultimately around 35 ladies will attend, unless we have some surprises later. I have to move ti along so I can eat, shower and get over to the restaurant about noon to help set up.

Went to a b'nai mitzvah of ten adult people yesterday b/c a neighbor was having her bat mitzvah. The ages of the participants ranged from their 30s to near 80! It was a wonderful experience to be part of and to witness. But it was a really long service - almost 3 hours!
