a rosegold clad enhancer with a sterling silver chain?

I wouldn't. Try it, and see how it looks.

I have just started mixing metals myself - like the op said - I was a product of my 50's upbringing too - never mixed - but now I like the look - for me - it has to be real METALS though -no CLAD!!!

I love the look of mixed metals. No need to worry about matching everything these days. I guess some have different wedding sets to match the metals of whatever they wear that day?? I can't imagine. My wedding set is set in platinum and I wear white yellow and rose metals with no problems - yes, sometimes all at once "gasp". Smiley Wink)

I personally wouldn't...if I did, the rest of my outfit and jewelry would have to be all tied together with mixed metals...I wouldn't wear all SS with one RG enhancer.

But if that doesn't matter to you...go for it! I'm very comfortable with my style so don't let what anyone else thinks affect what I do or don't do.

I hope you enjoy it MIL!

For years jewelry and fashion experts have been telling us to mix our metals. I wouldn't do it, couldn't get comfortable with it. A few years ago, having realized I have amassed lots of sterling, some white, yellow and rose gold, I figured that in order to truly take advantage of my collection, I needed to mix it up.

Nowadays, I just love the look, and I am completely comfortable with it. I throw pearls in the mix also. One of my favorite combos is a heavy sterling curb chain choker with a gold coin pendant.

I was always taught not to mix metals, it just wasn't right! But years ago I noticed Rolex and other expensive watches were silver and gold...

Recently I have been experimenting with mixing metals. It was hard to get used to the look! But I agree with other posters that you need to have a good mix, not just one lonesome "odd" piece! Experiment and you will find a balance that is pleasing to your eye!

And I hear the Jewelry Police will let you off with just a warning!
