Would You Wear a $2000.00 Gold Coin Pendant?

Wow!  Stefano is selling Kruggerand gold coins to wear as a pendant!

He also has a $50.00 U.S. Liberty gold coin.

What eye-catchers (although I would be too nervous to wear them in public)!

Of course I really like all the 24 gold karat pieces as well--true pieces of art.

Goodness, yes.  I would wear it.  Why not?

The jewelry I wear every day is worth way over $2000.  A lot of women wear engagement rings worth thousands of dollars and think nothing about it.

You bet! Have other pieces worth a lot more than that.

For pendants with winter turtlenecks, for years I have alternated between wearing my grandfather’s gold pocket watch and a 1oz gold Kruggerand. Each has a long chain. I don’t think much about it. Just throw them on and enjoy them.

I would wear if given to me as a gift. At this point in my life would not spend that kind of money on jewelry. In particular, would look nice on heavier winter fabrics. I wear very few necklaces anymore, prefer bracelets, earrings and some rings.

@FancyPhillyshopper    I would if I owned any jewelry that was that expensive, i.e. the $2K pendant.  What good is it to have things sit in my jewelry or safe deposit box?

Jewelry is meant to be worn and enjoyed--enhancing an outfit and giving me a lift in spirit.  I enjoy wearing my costume, designer, and vintage jewelry as much as the couple of pieces of much more costly pieces I own.

But that's just my take.  If it's a worry then don't wear such things.

Of course, but no one knows! I don't broadcast the price of my clothes, jewelry or shoes.Smiley Happy

@aroc3435, I completely agree.  We have an alarm system in our house, so I do keep all my jewelry here.  I love all types of jewelry and enjoy wearing them.  They will be passed down to “my girls,” my DD, DIL, and DGD.  My GD is only six and definitely has inherited the “jewelry gene.”  She just had her ears pierced, so her little adventure has begun.  She got her first American Girl doll for Christmas, and we would like to take her and her Bella for one of their events.  If you can believe it, one option is to take dolly to have dolly’s ear’s pierced.  Thought everyone would get a laugh at this one, while off-topic.
