probably true but if I'm going to spend my $ I would rather have real gemstones, not CZ or crystals.

I think crystals are less expensive which is why they are being used more often these days but I prefer DMQ stones as they must be set like real diamonds not glued in. This makes them not as easy to detect as not being real diamonds IMO.
