@KJV - The paperclip necklace trend will end when people stop purchasing them. I find these chains too generic looking after having been spoiled by handmade silver chains crafted by Thai artisans (some for Judith Ripka's line, some for the Jai line, some for the John Hardy line, the Suarti line, and some just doing their own independent work). Once I saw what humans were capable of making by hand, I lost all interest in commercially made necklace chains. But, that's just me.

If it is well made and is sterling or gold, it is simply a chain necklace.  I like them.  Not because they are in fashion or trendy because I am not a fad follower

But a good gold or silver piece such as a chain in classic.  I wear them and don't even think is this fashionable or not.  Good jewelry is good jewelry, it isn't a fad to me.

I got to see an exhibit of Scythian gold once and centuries b.c. they were making all sorts of chains, jewelry and other remarkable gold items, fabulous gold chains among them.

I hate stilleitto heels but to each their own.  I don't think they will stop making them.  I just don't buy them lol.  Don't like skinny jeans either but they are not going to stop making them I just don't buy them.  I do like the baggy jeans though  So glad there are options for everybody.  I do like the paper clip chain. There are so many different styles of chains.  Many many choices.

Channel?  Then it's classic.  So do you not wear your good jewelry if it isn't the current trend/fad/fashion????   I wear mine.  Even my gold hoop and larger earrings from decades ago.

I like them and purchased a necklace in white gold recently with three small diamond hearts on the chain.  I really don't care if others don't like it.

I love the earring with the stud and paperclip chain.   Might have to geet that.

I have the Kennedy/Chanel repro that QVC sold and I love it, it's bold and has a large chain and a removable shorter chain.  Supposed to look like paperclips but imho doesn't so much because of the rhinestones embedded.  Have had a ton of compliments on it.  I personally don't care for the style of the paperclip necklace out today.  Looks like I can just take how many paperclips I want and start clearing up my desk.....
