Re: What was the name of the jewelry designer......

I enjoy Barbara Bixby designs. Her web site is more expensive but I always had the impression the web site items were a little more detailed and she also offers all 14k on her site.

Her pieces are unique and feminine. They are special pieces and I like the fanciful feel of them. I looked forward to her shows on QVC and was disappointed when they stopped. I am glad her items are still offered on QVC, but I admit I have not bought any since she left.

She would often have a large spot during the Silver days. She was a QVC regular about 15-20 years ago.

This part sounds like it describes Whitney Kelly, who was featured for years on both Big Bonanza Silver Day and Creede Silver Strike. Barbara Bixby was on Gem Day but never on Big Bonanza Silver Day or Creede.

On QVC here she has many and I notice the discrepancies in the prices from one piece to another.

I saw a fairy on there! I've never seen her do a fairy before.Barbara Bixby S terling Silver & 18K Gemstone Fa iry Pin/Pend

Also a rose quartz 3 flower ring for $100 something which was surprising.Lots of other rings are much higher, even with semiprecious stones.

I wonder why they don't present

them anymore. Maybe in the contract or something she has that they can only be presented with her there, which she always was. I always enjoyed watching her.

Barbara Bixby's last show (although she didn't appear) was on QVC2 on July 7, 2020. It was also Antonella's final show.

Re: What was the name of the jewelry designer......

Hi...I've been searching for the name of the jewelry designer who was described exactly as I remember her, but it's not Bixby. I have several of her large multi-gemstone rings that are so beautiful. She also made necklaces & bracelets as well as terrific large rings. She was/is indeed Bohemian, she was blond and tall. I can't for the life of me remember her name, although I can see her clearly in my mind's eye. I no longer have the same social life I did when I wore those large rings, so thinking of selling them, but have no idea what today's resale pricing would be. Since I can't remember her name, I have no way of Googling to see what they're going for. She designed her own jewelry. She often sold "sets" that would include large earrings (not my style), long necklaces, matching sets including rings, etc., but each piece could be purchased separately. I always wanted to get her big pine cone broach because it was a "thing" between me and my now-in-Heaven Mom shared through the years...finding & collecting "piney cones", out nickname for them, lol. Anyway, I'd really appreciate it if anyone can remember her name or the name of her jewelry line...and it's definitely not Bixby. Thank you so much!

Re: What was the name of the jewelry designer......

@nascar4433Heidi Daus had pine cone pins. She was on QVC for a few visits in 1994-95 but then switched to HSN (could have been in 1996 when Barry Diller left and took a handful of QVC vendors with him). There are some videos of Heidi Daus online: some on HSN and the Canadian television shopping channel.

Hi @on the bay  I do remember when she offered this design.  She had several variations.  Love the moon motif!
