Re: What was the last meaningful item of jewelry you purchased or someone purchased for you?

@AngelPuppy1   July baby here, too.

My Dad left me his gold watch. I replaced the band (which was way too big) with a gold and white gold band from the watch's co. and wear it all the time.

My brother and I gifted it to him for his 70th birthday. Since my brother passed away over 20 yrs. ago, I guess he felt the watch would go to me. I've always been a Daddy's Girl.

I have been collecting jewelry for 30 years.  I love jewelry.  This year, I have limited my purchases to 10k or 14k gold, from Shophq or Shoplc.  My last purchase in June or July was a 14k herringbone necklace from shoplc.  A decent gram weight and size.  I love it.  It was a bit $$$ for me but I took the 5 Budget Pay option.

this year is my DD 40th b-day, on Dec 23rd--and I found her a beautiful necklace with a grape garnet as the center stone , surrounded by 1/4 carat of champagn diamonds all set in rose gold---a beautiful thing!! and all those things are her favorites---she has been thru alot with me these past 10 years starting with my cancer adventure in 2012 and ending in my divorce from her dad this year---after 47 years of marriage--she is a trooper---

As a thank you from DS and DDIL they gave the latest "grandmother" necklace.........so unusual from all of the old fashioned rings, etc. which I never liked.

I just received these pretty little earrings that I bought myself for under $50.  (the price is now higher.)  In my set the lower pearl is less lumpy, smooth, elongated, about 11/2" total length.  The pearls have beautiful lustre that illuminates and flatters the face.  Never heard of this brand; didn't see them on air.  Took a chance with an unusual shaped pearl, and got a great buy, made me happy!

My wedding ring, of course; and a string of pearls my DH gave me as an anniversay present. I've spent a few days in hospital. The first stay was for hip replacement (eventually both of them were replaced) and...well...a few other stays.

And though I tried to disguise it, I was petrified for the first hip replacement; and knowing that swiss blue topaz is my favorite gemstone, he give me an tire set: necklace, ring, bracelet, and earrings. What a guy! <3

A claddagh ring with my Mom's birthstone, garnet, as the heart. It's very petite so it's very every day wearable. I wear it stacked with a petite Diamonique band that belonged to her.

The last meaningful jewelry item I purchased is a 14k gold pendant I commissioned from an independent jeweler/goldsmith in 7 or 8 years ago.

We designed it together and then he handcrafted the piece. I love it and wear it every day on a 2 tone 14k necklace.

The inspiration was from the Best Friends Society Logo. It's about the size of a .25cent piece. It's nice and thick and solid as you would expect for hand made original jewelry.

It's much cuter in person, LOL!

The only other jewelry item I've bought since then is a favorite pair of 14k obelisk shape leverback earrings.
