I like 18k gold, platinum, colorless diamonds, sapphires, tanzanite, amethysts, rubies, emeralds, aquamarines  and high luster pearls preferably Mikimoto. 

I worked in the industry so I did have opportunities to purchase at cost but I am very discerning about what I will buy so my collection is more about quality than quantity.💍

Earrings, earrings, earrings -- and specifically hoop earrings.    But never studs (I don't own one pair), and rarely huggie hoops. 

I also love bracelets and rings.

Not too fond of necklaces.  I have many, but rarely wear them.  

Silver, gold, fashion jewelry -- it's all good.

Not fond of pearls at all though.  I have one pair of pearl earrings; wore them on my wedding day 35 years ago.  Marriage didn't last long -- I blame it on the pearls

But seriously, I will also never wear/own opals, or jade.  Just not a fan at all.

@sunshine45   -  The snowflake right below the tree topper is actually a Bethlehem Pearl Button.  They were made between the 1940s and 1950s.  I have a couple that I purchased as jewelry. They are beautiful!

I only buy and own fine jewelry...I don't have any costume jewelry.

I went through periods where I collected bangle bracelets.  I have arm loads of them.

I have always collected gold watches, many antique..14k and 18k.  I have many. No battery operated ones.

Brooches and pins were another thing I collected at one time.

Then on to tennis bracelets and link bracelets...I have a lot

Rings?  I have a small collection, but my rings are beautiful and memorable... my hands are small, I wear a size 4 ring, not easy to find and many rings do not look nice on small hands.

Necklaces and chains.  I have more than I need, but my collection is small compared to my other jewelry items.

My earring collection is vast.  You name it I have it.  Precious and semiprecious stones, yellow gold, white gold, SS, pearls, southwest, antique.

I had a jewelry addiction and went overboard.  My collection is huge.

What do I wear?  Wedding and engagement ring, diamond anniversary band, white gold hoop earrings and occasionally a white gold chain necklace.  The rest sits unworn unless I go to wedding or somewhere special.  Since I retired, I don't wear it.

I have more necklaces than any other kind of jewelry so I guess that's my favorite. I have silver & gold chains and pendants, as well as costume necklaces. I also own a variety of watches. I have several pins, rings, and bracelets. I own absolutely no earrings.

I love and prefer 18K and especially  platinum....  (if there are diamonds)  I will never get used to 14K.  But I buy them if I want the jewelry.  I don't care for colored gem stones except for Corundum.  And they have to be cut.  I can barely tolerate Cabochon.  And any semiprecious gems.  Really dislike them. I don't wear costume jewelry or pearls. I still dislike Sterling so I buy Ultrafine.  My taste in jewelry is expensive. Can't do anything about that. That's the way it is.  Better then my mom.  She's Italian and she was horrified the first time she saw 14K.  She didn't think it was gold. 

And @wilma   Don't own any earrings either.  The holes closed in my ears and I neve bothered getting it fixed.

@Sooner   Sisters from a different mother? I have my studs, wedding rings and a tennis bracelet in diamonds and platinum. Of course, my everyday pearls and gold/silver bangles. DY cuffs and necjlaces, but a lot of it has gone to my daughter. I'd like to see her enjoy my jewelry instead of willing it to her.

I'm not big on colored, faceted stones, but do have some turquoise.

@sunshine45   May sound crazy, but I have many JR Bee pins and others I've collected from her hay day. I also have some real pins/brooc hes.

I keep them pinned to a velvet throw pillow on my bed. Easy to find to wear and fun to see all I've collected.

I'm a ring girl.  But I seldom wear more than one on each hand, although I do stack.  I also have a lot of bracelets and necklaces in the rotation.

Earrings however, are another story.  I've been wearing the same pair of very small huggie hoops for the past three years.  They come off at night though; all my jewelry comes off at night.
