Dressy - thin gold chains. I want my clothes to be noticed, not my jewelry.

I have quite a bit ofother stuff - but almost always pick up the chains. They feel "right."

Know exactly what you mean about favorite pieces that you wear all the time...signature pieces !

Now at 77, I have given away the stuff that used to sit in bank and jewelry boxes: I enjoy seeing the pieces being worn by my favorite people!

I have had my jeweler take parts of pieces and create "new" pieces that I wear every day:

What a wonderful idea! I have gifted most of my gold pieces to my DILove whom loves gold. I just love white metals usually, but that ring just grabbed me!

The ring: my mother left me a " cocktail " type ring designed as 2 flowers made with diamonds. At their center was a sapphire. For a long time, neither my dear jeweler and I couldn't come up with a design using the stones for my ring. ( She has redesigned many things for me. )

When my father passed, I bought his pinky ring from the estate. Those 3 diamonds flank the sapphires.

I call this my " parents " ring.

Interesting note: my mother never went to parties but she loved diamonds. She worked until she retired at 80 and saved her money. Diamonds were her only extravagance. Each daughter received a piece of jewelry with diamonds.

For several years, my father couldn't find the ring...with her Alzheimer's she was always misplacing things. Then one day as he was looking for a paper clip, he found it at the bottom of the bowl !

I wear that ring every day; however, it stays at the bank box while we snowbird !

An 18K gold bracelet.

For me it's my 14k solid gold omega. DH bought this for me about 20 years or so ago,

then it seemed extravagant, but that baby is worth a lot more money today. Actually I don't wear it out much anymore as I'm a little afraid someone will swipe it right off my neck. It's a beauty!

I have a diamond tennis bracelet that I inherited from my mother. I had it reset over the summer for a better fit.

I only wear it for special occasions since it makes me a bit nervous to wear.

I have a diamond pendant and a sapphire pendant that I wear from time to time. I also have a pearl necklace, but I don't wear it very often. It was gifted to me for my wedding, and looked beautiful with my pearl beaded wedding dress, but I rarely wear it anymore. I tend to wear my gold or silver chains most often with a simple gold or silver pendant. They work with both casual and dressier outfits.
