@Shelbelle wrote:Looks like a Mystic topaz of some kind, heat treated quartz to produce different colors, very popular a while back. Could it be something from Chuck Clemency's collection. He sold a lot of these in various colors.
I posted a better picture. I bought a bag of rings at a yard sale for $50.00. This one is marked 925STS which I think is STS jewelry.
I agree with @Shelbelle-a treated stone topaz with rhodium around it.

What is STS? Definitley looks like one of those heat treated topaz stones, Chuck had different names for different colors of them. Mystic was usually green and purple.

bi-color fluorite

If I had to take a guess, I would say it could be a tourmaline. It is not unusual for this stone that comes in many colors to have one stone with two or three different colors that are segregated.
I have a watermelon pendant and earrings ( green, pink and white) and when I purchased them, there was jewelry offered with the blue and purple combination.
The ring is very beautiful. I love that stone.
It also looks like a fluorite, which is less expensive than a tourmaline by a long shot.

Fluorite is a soft stone...only 4 on the Mohs scale. So be careful with it.
Personally I would not buy fluorite set in a ring or a bracelet because the stone is so soft and fragile, more so than opals. Earrings and pendants made with fluorite would be a better choice.

It was from Evine. Was on clearance for $18.98 but is now sold out:

STS is the hallmark of the company that owns Shop LC.
That is where that ring came from.
