I'm not sure what everyone thinks is inexpensive, but If I have a watch I like and wear, and the face is in good shape, then I don't mind spending the money to keep them. Some of the watches I have were less than $50 when purchased, but I still replace batteries and bands as needed so I can wear them. If the face is scratched, or I just don't wear it anymore, then I either toss it or donate it.

@wilma I'm with you. If I like the watch, I'll get a battery put in it. I wear a watch every day. Somehow it seems less rude to me to discreetly check my watch at an event than pull out my phone to check the time.
