Wedding ring substitute

[ Edited ]

Sadly, the diamond fell out of my wedding ring and has not been found. (Reminder to all: get your rings checked.) I do not wish to replace the diamond but would like a simple band to wear in its place. I've ordered these two linked here: (sorry, do not know how to post a pic)

Eternagold checkerboard http://www.qvc.com/EternaGold-Checkerboard-Pattern-Silk-Fit-Band-Ring,-14K-Gold.product.J315628.html...

Eternagold polished and rope band ring http://www.qvc.com/EternaGold-Polished-&-Rope-Band-Ring-14K-Gold.product.J323065.html?sc=J323065-SRC...

I would appreciate any thoughts about these rings or suggestions for others here or elsewhere. My mother always wore a plain gold band, but I'd like something with a little design. I need a durable ring since it will be worn all the time. Thank you.

I think they are both beautiful choices but for everyday wear, I'd go with the checkerboard one. Let us know what you decide. And I hope you find your diamond.

@Another new name Sue  Perhaps as well this could be a time to think about replacing the lost stone for a new stone of your choosing.  Give some thought to this instead of a new simple band ring replacement.  Just an idea to ponder.

Our family has had bad luck with wedding rings, Lost - stolen- stones EXCHANGED- robbed.  You name it.  So no more rings for me.  I wear a gold or silver band. That is all.  Not a diamond or stone person and don't want more drama.

Look up James Avery Jewelry. They are based here in Texas - in Kerrville.

They have a nice selection of wedding bands in silver or 14k gold. Nice. Simple. Good craftsmanship too.

My husband and I actually had matching bands from there for several years... I moved on to diamonds, but - he still wears the same band.

Hope this helps. You. You may find something to your liking there....

I wear a band from the Black Hills and have to say that it has held up beautifully and looks as beautiful today as when I purchased it.... my ring is J109844 but they have several gorgeous bands right on QVC.

What about replacing the stone with your or your husband's birthstone?

Q4u. Thank you. That is pretty.

How long have you been wearing it?

Does it tarnish?

Did you get your regular size?

DH is from North Dakota and we "adopted" South Dakota's Black Hills gold as "ours"...  I love it, love all of it... my only regret was not buying the Helenite Ring (on QVC, in green) before the prices went way up.... should have~!  We've purchased newer pieces (two years ago) and although the prices have gone up, the quality seems to be as great as it always has been.  Woman LOL
