I celebrated my 80th birthday on February 29, Leap Day. I wanted a piece of jewelry to mark the Leap Year, Leap Day birthday, Jill came on with the Fabulous bracelet and after the 50, there was an 80!I  I hurried to get it, but with arthritis, I could not type fast enough, so it sold out. I have never used waitlist but I did list this bracelet.

If you have used waitlist, how successful do you think I'll be in getting this bracelet?

I have received most things I have purchased with waitlist.  You might be able to call to see what the odds are.

@teainlondon I wish you good luck but unlike @spumoni99 , I haven't had much success with Waitlist. Either someone has to cancel their order immediately, which means you would have the item shipped within days of waitlisting. Or, the item has to be returned by a customer, which rarely happens in the time span the waitlist is active.

With that said, I do wish you good luck and their is still hope and a possiblity. I think I received a waitlist item once, I've put dozens on waitlist over the years.

If you went on waitlist shortly after they sold out, I think your chances are good.  I see the waitlist is still open, so that means they think they can fulfill orders that are put in today.  I have found that with fine jewelry, my waitlist comes in fast, sometimes faster than I want because I bought something else I like, and when I try to cancel my WL order, I can't because it is already processing.  My guess is many people buy with checks, and cancel before sending the check.  They give 45 days for the waitlist to see if they get returns can send out.

So if you like it, hang in there!  Pretty bracelet!

@NYCLatinaMe I could be wrong, or misunderstood, but didn't they stop allowing checks as a form of payment? I believe if this new policy is in place, it would reduce the chance of receiving a waitlist item since many people received an item due to a change of heart with people paying by check.

@teainlondon.  Check the item again this evening and tomorrow morning.  They often pop back into the system due to credit denials and changes of mind.

@teainlondon - I really hope you get your bracelet! I've had good luck overall with waitlist items being fulfilled, but not in the jewelry category. Fingers crossed for you...  Smiley Happy

I only had few cancellations and only when item was not new.

Congratulations on the birthday, @teainlondon !

When I've been on waitlist I've always received the item. But I've never been on waitlist for jewelry.

Customers do cancel orders. I've usually had waitlist orders fulfilled within a week.

Good luck! And again, congrats on the big birthday!  Woman Very Happy

Thanks for all the replies concerning the JAI Fabulous 80 bracelet, but I have given up hope. I ordered Sept. 21 and was told if I didn't receive it by Nov. 7th then it would not be available. So I don't think it will become a part of my jewelry collection. I am sad not to have something to mark a special birthday for me, but that's the way things go.

I won't do waitlist again; I looked every day; it's too nervewracking.

Happy Holidays to all.
