@Justice4all You must be very, very careful with it if it is indeed turquoise. It's porous and will absorb oils from skin, cosmetics, lotions, perfume, even hair spray and will become an unattractive shade of green.

Think of it as a turquoise colored opal...We all know how fragile they are and how we must care for opals.
I have started using a soft cloth to wipe down all my jewelry before putting it back in drawer.
