Re: WATCH COLLECTORS.......March 2015

Hi ladies.

I've been wearing my gunmetal Excursion with the platinum MOP lately. I really like that watch!

Welcome Lynn and MsMN!

Hopefully I will get my ST/GT Lady Zeus sized this weekend. I do most of my own bracelet sizing, including ceramics. I go slowly and carefully, and fortunately haven't had any slips. But it certainly can happen, even in the best of hands.

Eyal announced on Twitter today from Basel that Invicta has acquired Technomarine! I'm not sure what that will mean to Technomarine. I need to start wearing my Diamond bezel neo-classic Technomarine ceramic watch again!

Re: WATCH COLLECTORS.......March 2015

Hi Jazzy.

Thanks for the info. My Technomarine is in storage. It was one of my best pieces: beautiful ceramic, Swiss Made, 200 ATM and sapphire crystal. I bought because I loved it and had seen the Chanel J12.

FYI: I once took it to a pawn shop out of curiosity. No takers. That was a $2000 watch. This is a lesson on watches. Buy if you love and are going to wear it.

Jazzy,

I agree that GM Excursion is a gorgeous watch. I receive many compliments on that watch.

aprimo: I'm glad your new Lupahs are winners. The straps your chosen sound like they will really upgrade the look of the watches. It's funny how we get used to larger watches. I remember when my baby lupah seems enormous, now, it seems a little small. Smile

Jazzy: thanks for the info about Technomarine. I think that's very interesting news. I wonder what direction Eyal will take the brand in.

Thanks LJ. I'm wearing the blue/green Lupah today with a Joan Rivers blue/green floral jacket, Susan Graver butterknit lime green blouse, Bob Mackie royal blue crop pants, Isaac Mizrahi royal blue suede moccasins, Michael Dawkins Starry Night jewelry (bracelet, ring, earrings) and a Judith Ripka carved lapis ring. I look fabulous, if I do say so myself! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I tried to coordinate with a lime green Dooney, but it was the wrong lime green. I was in a hurry so I carried on with my Coach navy & fuschia duffle. So close. Wink

aprimo: love your outfit... those blues are my colors. And I love mixing blues with turquoise and greens.

Thanks! I have to be a bit careful when I wear that Joan Rivers jacket. My mom and my aunt both have the very same one. Great minds...

That does sound like a great color combo, aprimo.

We certainly need to think spring here! It snowed today. LOL.

Speaking of baby lupahs . . . I think they will have another Grand Lupah/Baby set as a TTV. This set will be with mother of pearl on the dial.

IWG must have purchase an enormous lot of platinum MOP, because it seems they are using it on a wide range of timepieces. Now lupahs.

Re: WATCH COLLECTORS.......March 2015

Hey all:

Hope you are enjoying your Saturday.

Thoughts of spring and all that!

Take a look at this:

Not to be undone, Longines has an "Admiral" too. Of course, not a "new' watch, but this would be great.

Java: Thanks for the links. I love the Longines Admiral.... just not the price. I'd be curious to know what the movement was. Like the Invicta watch, but not the strap.

Re: WATCH COLLECTORS.......March 2015

Well, now I'm annoyed! The new straps for my baby Lupahs came in and they are all too small. {#emotions_dlg.angry}

Now I have to send them back and order 18mm straps. Apparently Evine (hate typing that stupid name) measured the lugs incorrectly because I ordered two different brands of leather straps in 17mm and none of them fit.
