aubnwa: from my research Wesselton was indeed an older way of grading diamond color. Top Wesselton corresponds to todays G color diamond. And that is a very good color for diamonds.... in a watch or otherwise. Wesselton corresponds to H color.... good, but not as good as Top Wesselton.

LavJ, a question. When I look into the face of this Blue Manta, it looks
familiar. It reminds me so much of my Renato Sporganza's. Right? The only reason I like these TM's better is the case is larger. Like maybe 35 vs 38? What do you think? In fact I own 2 of them and one dial is white, but I have to go look, I forgot the other. You own these also, right?
Can you believe it, I found 16 dead batteries again. Sheesh.

Hi all....
LavJ,
I heard this from someone else who had purchased a Older model Lupah. Ten years is a very long time for a watch to last. There are those that last longer.
Sorry that happned. At a certain point, they weren't required to specify between Swiss Movment and Swiss Parts. (It wasn't enforced.) Also, regulations for Swiss Made watche were tightened up.
Aren't a lot of the Swiss Parts movements Chinses? (or Thai.)
At one point, they stopped putting Swiss Prts or Swiss Mov't on the dial, so they probabbly got caught. (maybe quietly settled.)
When it come to the "Swiss Made" stuff, they have to abide by that. Those watches are inspected. I don't think Invicta wants to mess that up.

Java: interesting info. I knew the Swiss tighten up the designations, but I didn't realize they were that loose originally.
Jena: I don't own any Sporganza. For some reason I didn't buy them originally.... size ? price ? I don't remember. And then when I decided I wanted one, they were no longer available. Is it the spiral etching on the dial that looks similar to the Blue Manta?

Thanks so much, @Lavenderjunkie! I'm visiting my jeweler this afternoon to have it sized. Look forward to adding this one to the rotation. Have a wonderful weekend!

@aprimo wrote:Well, I am really mad tonight. I ordered several pieces of jewelry from Evine during their gem event. The tracking says they were delivered in my mailbox by the Post Office yesterday, but I did not receive them. I waited to see if they would show up today and I did receive several packages. One of which was the Lupah moonphase with the sparkly dial (very pretty). But still no sign of my jewelry. My postman is fairly psychotic, so he probably put it in the wrong box. According to Evine, I have to wait for them to complete their investigation before they do anything.
Update on my lost package(s). This morning I realized that my mother's anniversary present was also tracking as delivered since Wednesday but was nowhere to be found. I was even more upset about that package.
Long story short--I stalked my postman today and made him check every box in my building. He found both packages, placed in other residents' boxes. Thank god they hadn't picked them up yet! The postman was a bit confused and sheepish, didn't understand how he did that and allowed as how he might need to get his eyes checked. Or he just has psychotic episodes...
Anyway, all's well that ends well, I guess.

Aprimo, good for you. Taking the bull by the horns yourself and got it all cleared up. I'm also fighting my temporary mail man and those Government job people, know they won't be fired. My mail is always in someone else's mail box. Parcels also. I never held a position I didn't feel I could lose if I sc#ewed up. Disgusting.
LJ, my Sporganza's have the spiral face, you are right. The Vulcan also has a fancy face. Anyway that's why I got interested in the Blue Manta and the RT w/wht ceramic would be way different from anything I own, but I can't own them all. The ones I was after are sold anyway so someone else gets to enjoy them and not always me.

There weren't any regulations regarding "Swiss" or "Swiss Mov't" usage. And it didn't apply to watches sold in the U.S. If you were a member of the federation, then it was binding. Go back and look at your old watches--Invicta or otherwise. I am sorry that WatchGeeks died--this topic was discussed thoroughly and I could direct you towards better info.
Sorry to hear of the package woes, aprimo. People have gotten sloppy with their work in all areas. I am glad it was resolved and that no one had touched the packages. I remember having to go to someone's apt and ask for my package that had been left by UPS. That was scary. Fortunately, they were honest.
One time the post office held my package for 60 days. It was their fault. I had told evine the package was lost. I couldn't keep it, because the price had gone up. One time I ordered an apatite ring from the Q and it was stolen
I think that was $300? It wasn't cheap. Q promptly replaced it.
I wish they wouldn't send out jewelry in padded envelopes. It's easier to lose or steal.
