I agree, @Shanus  I like a 16" chain that I can add extenders to, that's why I buy almost no necklaces from the Q any more, and when I do, I switch pendants to other, shorter chains.  I still do wear an 18kt rolo that's 17" long that Lisa Robertson was selling, eons ago, and have an 18kt cross I wear on it.  It's my almost constant go-to, I love it that much.  If the Q wants my business back, they could offer more necklaces with an 18" chain that has an additional jump ring at 16", or better yet, three jump rings, at 16, 17 and 18"!

Twenty or more so years ago, when I wasn't appalled at the appearance of my neck, I too lamented the scarcity of 16 inch chains.  Just pointing out that it was always hard to find them; the default short chain was almost always 18 inches.
