Who knew dogs loved turquoise too, and she doesn't even care if the mine is open or closed! My other collie girl loves silver and has eaten (chewed) a number of pieces. I find them so mangled that I can't even figure out what they were. She's 11 years old, no puppy.

Kachina, here's a video from Antiques Roadshow appraising a collection of old school Navajo items.

My new dog is a sable (light tan) and white purebred smooth (short haired) collie. She was taken in a seizure of 139 purebred collies near Houston. My collie rescue group got 11 of them for which we'll find loving homes and I'm fostering this one. I'm sure she'll never leave here though. I've gotten very attached to her. We call that ""foster failure"".

Kachina, your 11 year old puppy has good taste, lol! My 6-1/2 year old dark chocolate lab/pit has a bright red collar. I bet she would good in coral and turquoise!

Kathy, I just looked at the video. Wow, that appraiser was easily impressed. While the pieces were undoubtedly old, they were very crude. One that he referred to as a "squash blossom" definitely was not and was just a naja. I'd like to see someone get $2,000 to $3,000 each for those bracelets. What did you think?

A dark brown dog would look fetching in coral and turquoise! I know you'll get right on that. Have you tried the martingale collars? I surely like them except collies have small heads and can slip out of them if they don't have a clasp and can be tightened.
