OK, let's try this again...I originally posted in the Fashion forum by mistake, so I delete it and am in the correct forum now. 🤷‍♀️

We're heading to NYC for a long weekend right after Thanksgiving.  I'm a little leery about wearing my real diamonds so I ordered this Diamonique ring to wear as a substitute wedding band.  Free shipping on jewelry today.

Very nice.  I do the same when I travel, then I'm not worried about loss or theft.

I like that ring!  But I have short fingers so it wouldn't look good on me.  My wedding rings are Diamonique and have been for years.  So I have no fear of wearing them when travelling.

I do the same as well.  Why worry when a diamonique piece can look very nice!

Yes, but temptation won't protect your life. Why wear anything that will tempt those who want to steal?

It's beautiful!  I love the emerald and baguette stone style so much.

If you've worn this style before, you are familiar with the fit.  I bought something similar to this years ago, and the stones scratched my fingers on both sides.  I ended up returning it for something that had all the stones on top.

(Just my experience with a different ring.)

Have a fun trip!

@ahoymate - you make a good point, but I couldn't stand not wearing something.  I usually wear several rings on a regular basis but will only wear this band during our trip.  The only time anyone may see my hand will be when we're inside a restaurant or museum. When outdoors I'll likely have gloves on.  If I feel unsafe at any given time. I can remove the ring and stick it in my pocket.

That's a good point, @Tinkrbl44.  I haven't worn this style before so I'll have to give it a several day trial and decide if it's going to work or not.

@JeanLouiseFinch

Just had the travel ring conversation yesterday as I was helping someone pick out one.

She didn't want any bling as she felt the criminal element may not know the difference, sparkly is sparkly.

Thought that was an interesting take and mostly agree with her.

Another good point, @rockygems123.  I should probably get a plain band too.
