Todays clean out Jewelery Box

I got rid of cords of multi colors, old pendants with tarnished charms, both long and short.Alex and Ani bangles.

Things I kept my gold and pearl bracelet that I got for my 15th birthday. My husband grandmother's pearls if they are real or not. My Mothers pearls that I wore at my wedding which she bought in the early 1960's at S Klein for under 30 dollars for a 20 inch strand. My mothers beaded necklaces. Heavy sliver link bracelets. I kept things of sentimental valve no matter how cheap they may look. Someone who shops at Goodwill will have a great time going through my stuff.

Re: Todays clean out Jewelery Box

@I am still oxox   I did the same...kept sentimental and inherited pieces. Whether they were real or too big for my petite frame, long pearls with diamond clasps stayed in my jewelry drawer. A lot of other gold and silver pieces were sold. I checked with the women in my family and no one wanted those pieces.

Many designer pieces like Yurman I owned and no longer wear went to consignment along with most of my Louis V. bags. I'm just not that girl anymore.

I'd never part with jewelry from my Grandmothers or my Mom even if they aren't worn often.
