There is a buyer for it all but...I wish QVC would have more shows with colored gemstones. Every jewelry show is another clear stone of Diamonique, moisanite, fire light, earth grown diamonds. They all look alike! Prices vary but it is metal and clear. There used to be birthstone shows...why not now? If colored gems are aired it is usually the super expensive vault shows. Or we see Jai. If buyers cannot come up with 100 14k citrine rings to present then bring in 50...whatever is available. Variety! And more interesting settings.

So since cz is also man made, what's the difference between cz and man made diamonds?

@evelyner They are completely 2 different materials. Lab grown diamonds are chemically the same as natural diamonds except the process is sped up in a lab. Cubic zirconia is not diamond crystal and the properties are not the same. Hope this helps!

@Gabidog I agree would love to see more gemstone shows. Would love to see shows of the past where an hour of a particular gem was featured.. Then you could have more variety of affordable to the very expensive pieces. This weekend on SHQ they are doing exactly that - it's their version of the Tuscon Gem Show. Last week HSN featured different gem designs. I wish the Q would do the same instead of programming predominately diamond shows or just Diamonique.

The most obvious difference to the naked eye is the way each one sparkles. In natural light a CZ will give off rainbow colors of light where a diamond gives off white light only.

Did you see this one ? It's a citrine, was cheaper, but, they raised it since they're almost sold out.
J422224 Champagne quartz I took it to a jeweler she called it a citrine. Nobody knows the difference

I buy natural stones. I figure whatever I buy if they are bigger than people would assume I could afford, they look fake. And people will assume they are fake.
I don't wear costume jewelry or jewelry above my pay grade. So to speak. Just not me. I did have a few pieces I traveled with, like cz studs and less expensive pearls, however.

Best I can afford, 1 ct. mined diamond solitaire.
Just wear to church and places I feel bad people won't be casing the place and the people.

@Sooner ITA. I purchased a Diamonique ring (oval) and eternity band that was almost identical to my wedding set. I wear it traveling along with my Diamonique studs. I also wear these during the holidays in crowds so my real things aren't stolen.
I do however enjoy a few pieces of costume jewelry.
