On the other channel of course, VPH is on the Q.
But in MO. they have a place that shows a number of Titanic memos. Also in Pigeon Forge, TN too the lady said. Have to admit, it was fun to listen to about it. I think I'll have to check out some books on the people of the Titanic.
Have you been to the MO or TN places showing things from the Titanic? Think that would be an interesting visit. ???

Its fun listening to that woman, but I liked the sterling Titanic items from QVC. I wish they still had them. I haven't been to the TN or MO Titanic exhibitions, but I have been to the traveling one when it came through my state. It's worth every penny. You get a passport and after you walk through the whole exhibit, you find out if your person in your passport survived or not. I loved the old perfume bottles that were recovered that still have perfume in them. You get to see all sorts of items from chairs to compacts. There are also rooms they have built, so you can see how the passengers lived. We had a headset, so we heard a great recording throughout the exhibit. You should go. I have visited the Pigeon Forge and that area is so beautiful and so much to do. We were just driving through on our way to Nashville.

Hi QG! Like Q2girl, I have never been to the exhibits in MO or TN, but I have been to the traveling exhibition when it came to Foxwoods Casino in CT. It was very interesting indeed... my mother was the only one of us who didn't have a "first-class" bording pass. She was "second class." And we reminded her of that for the rest of the day. "No ma, we're eating at this restaurant... and you don't have a say anyway because you're merely of the second class." Actually, second-class passengers aboard that ship had it pretty darn good, I learned. We were able to buy a piece of coal that had come from the ship. Pretty crazy to think that it came from the bottom of the Atlantic. I think about the people whose job it was to tend to the coal. They were probably among the first to perish, poor things. Anyway... there is (or was) a permanent exhibit at Mystic Aqaurium, also in CT. Fascinating!!

I can remember visiting the traveling exhibit when it was in NYC, I loved looking at the jewelry and china. Overall, the exhibit was low-key, respectful and well-done. It is one thing to see in a museum, but it is another to purchase "replica" items. I just can't do it. I aso couldnt purchase WTC replicas either.
Somehow it's not like purchasing th Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy or even Marilyn Monroe replica collections. I just can't put my finger on it.
