Thoughts on QVC hosts for the Gold Rush

I am missing Dan Wheeler today.  He always had a shift on gold days.  Sure wish QVC had another male host to present jewelry in addition to Rick D. who I love on these gold days.  And lastly, I was sooo disappointed to hear that apparently Jennifer Coffey will be on this evening with Rick to close out Gold Rush.  I will watch Rick's presentations but not hers.  Why muddy up his shift with JC?  Too bad Antonella and Rick cannot do the entire day!!!

Re: Thoughts on QVC hosts for the Gold Rush

I only got the tail end of the show with Antonella and Nancy and I like Nancy doing jewelry. Nancy is a gemologist, by the way. Tried to watch the show JB hosted, but the hard, frantic, personal sales pitch was too much for me.That new blond host who was on early this morning was very good, very steady and calm and from what I heard did not try to make the sale personal. I like to watch the Gold Rush, but I'm not really interested in buying anything.

I haven't seen Dan Wheeler do a jewelry show in years.  I like Jane, Antonella, Nancy, and Rick the best when it comes to the jewelry shows.  I get bored wathcing Jill but will watch if interested.  JC is a definite NO WAY.  I stay away any time she's hosting.

I DVR the shows while I'm at work, then watch when I get home.  I can simply FF through the parts I'm not interested in, and watch the parts that I am.  I do like watching the Imperial Gold shows.  Works for me.

Dan and David Venable use to do jewelry shows years ago.  I haven't seen Dan or David present jewelry in ages.  I think Rick is the only guy that presents jewelry now.  Maybe Alberti on occasion.

I am on a self imposed purchasing freeze.  I don't need any more jewelry and truthfully I haven't seen anything that I would consider purchasing.

My memory recalls Mary Beth always doing the last 3 to 4 hours in the evening. Pat D always hosted the 18K shows and always dressed up very glam.

Re: Thoughts on QVC hosts for the Gold Rush

I do miss the old days.  There were affordable items of high quality.  Yes, gold prices have risen, however, I was out yesterday looking at 14kt gold jewelry with and without gemstones.  Prices on the Q are no bargain.  I viewed a number of pieces with natural diamonds.  Most stores are offering discounts to reduce inventory.  Obviously, prices will go up just prior to Valentine's Day.

I had to turn Rick off last night.  He is just too hyper and was not a good fit with Dino.  In fact, I saw Dino several weeks ago with Nancy on the other channel and they were very good together.  Dan Wheeler and David both used to do jewelry shoes.  Both were professional and knowledgeable.  Mary Beth and Pat are also a pleasure to watch on jewelry shows.

For me, the imperial gold and JR shows are overpriced, therefore, I won't be watching.

@just wonderWow!  you and I can't ever watch together!   I don't know who I'd watch for sure, but I am sure one of the hosts you are asking for is pretty much off my list even when that host is an only.

The hosts are so over the top today if Antonella is any indication.  Had it on for about five minutes this morning and had to turn it off.
