There is hope for slow shipping

At least with Fed Ex.  DH ordered four tires and we got them within 3 days.  I didn't ask for any expedited shipping.  It was obviously a private pickup truck with a cap on top, I've heard everyone is hiring extra drivers with personal vehicles.  Now if they can just get the post office to do this . . .

My every contact with FedEx has been a disaster.  I seriously doubt their drivers are required to know how to read and write.  If I knew a retailer shipped FedEx, I wouldn't place an order.

I take back anything nice I've ever said about Fed Ex.  Right now they have 2 pieces of Fiesta enroute to me from Belks.  So far they've been in their possession for 12 days with no delivery day in sight.

@Kachina624 I agree with you. They do OK with commercial deliveries but are useless for delivering to homes.

I had ordered two patio chairs from Wayfair last year. I had given them my cell # so that they would send me tracking via text. I got a text that the package was delivered. I hadn't heard a truck and so I went and looked, nope, no delivery. So I called my brother since he lives nearby, no luck. I then got in my car and drove up and down the road looking for it - I live in a rural area so that took some time.

I finally found it in someone else's driveway. Of course the box was too large to go into my vehicle so I had to unbox it in the driveway and load the chairs one at a time into my trunk and drive them home.

I was pretty furious. I tried their CS line and couldn't get thru but it has definitely put me off of buying from Wayfair.

UPS doesn't have the same issue at all.

@GinaV24    What a story!  Weren't you afraid the homeowner where you unboxed the chairs would call the sheriff?  Good thing it was a rural area.

In the rural area where I live the homeowner would have come out and helped me unbox the chairs.
