I tried to watch the 10 to 12pm gold and silver show. It is 11:30 and I turned it off. All it was was gold and diamond show with a lot of talking by you know who. I am so sick of no silver shows. I don't meansilver with gemstones but beautiful all silver jewelry. The Q has ruined BBSD and Creede Silver and Silver Style. So sad.

@brcala   I also miss Big Bonanza Silver Day.  It was a working day for me so I would take vacation that day so I didn't miss anything being presented, same for Creede Silver, looked forward to it.

Silver style on Sunday morning was a show I never missed.  I bought a silver and enamel bangle that came in 10 colors and I bought every one of them.  They are still one of my favorites and my go to all these years later.

I never really like Silver until I started watching the silver shows on QVC.  I was pretty much a gold girl.  Now I prefer Silver.

I was in my 30's before I realized that I look much better in white metals ...  the pinkish cool tones in my skin aren't flattered by yellow metals.

So, better late than never, I became a white metal gal ... platinum, white gold, and of course, sterling silver.

I miss Jill Bauer's silver shows.  I think they used to be in Sundays.  She loved silver and really knew how to explain it so we could make an informed decision.

I miss hosts like Jill who really knew how to present well.

I also wear a lot of silver or white gold.  I just don't look good in yellow gold or anything yellow based with my cool undertones.

Re: Thank you for no silver

[ Edited ]

@KathyM23   I could have written this post. Big Bonanza, Creede and once a month Silver Style in the very early days of QVC which then was CVN.  Believe it or not, I still have silver sparklies from then that Jane T sold to me. Camped out in front of the tv for 4 hours of beautiful very affordable sterling silver, it was great.

So much has changed since those days and years.  I too would take the days off for BBSD and for Creede. Had I been at work I'd have not gotten any work done!

Those were the days for sure.

@brcala   There was a LOT of gold pieces yesterday, lots of expensive diamonds, beautiful pieces but nothing I could afford. The whole day was like window shopping because I couldn't afford to buy anything.

Not many lowly silver pieces, I don't know if they thought having a lot of white gold was a substitute for the lack of sterling. For me the answer is no. I will say though I was impressed by so many lovely items all day long. INo reason for me to have a wish list, I don't work anymore so I'm not out and about like I used to be. No reason to spends THOUSANDS of dollars. Fixed incomes don't go very far.

Yes, the all-day jewelry show was a bit much.  Michele Lau is good but it was too much of a good thing.

I always enjoyed JT's silver shows.

@Tinkrbl44   When I had my dark hair, I always wore gold jewelry or two-tone pieces. I also have pinkish tones, but consider myself neutral.

When my hair went silver, I thought I couldn't wear gold and put it all in the safety deposit box. Well, it's been several months and I realized that gold or silver, I can wear whatever I want. There are no jewelry police to set a rule about what to wear... gold or silver.

Hair color or skintone shouldn't designate what color jewelry to wear...Choose what you love.

I'm sick of costume and silver jewelry. I don't wear them and don't want to watch them sell it on tv. So what. I just don't watch those shows.

I think it's off base to assume Q will have jewelry shows that meet everyone's taste. The horror.
