Taking links out of the Gossip mock-ceramic watch

For those of you who have this watch, if you had links removed did you do it yourself or have a jeweler do it? I haven't gotten mine yet but I know I'll have to have links removed (I have tiny wrists--of course, my hips make up for it!) and I was just curious what others have done. I've never tried to size a watch myself but it's been about ten years since I've had a new watch so perhaps times have changed! Thanks all for your help!
