I have a few Tahitian pearls, not the expensive ones and depending on which type of Tahitians they are, they can be rough and odd shaped, like baroque. If they were completely round and without any blemishes--well they would cost what a house does. Mine are tear shaped mostly, and in the silver or black color' altho I do have a beautiful pair of round golden south sea pearl earrings. They have  a few blemishes but that is natural for coming from a mollusk. I, personally, like the fact that they are not perfect--nothing in nature is perfect.

You expressed it perfectly.  I am really not a pearl person but I thought they were lovely.  I bet your pieces are lovely.Smiley Happy

Since the Kwan's have the ablilty to discard the culls in the strands, there was no reason to leave in the ones that looked so pitted it appeared a dog got a hold of them.  Many in the strand were also circle` but circle` without luster in the groves brought down the look of these strands also.   I have many round Tahitian strands and most cost no more than two thousand dollars, some less.

@esmeraldagooch,

You are the expert and I totally agree since the RK left her line has declined so much that I had to return a grey blister pearl magnetic necklace.

It had nothing to do with the one I have in white with the matching earrings with omega backs from SHOPNBC when she was in charge of the family business🌻
