@LexPex I have many tanzanite rings purchased over the years. Most are clusters, but a few are 1.00 to 2.00 ct stones, and I've never had any damage to the gems. I think the hardness is about a 6-6-1/2, which just means it could scratch easier than say......a ruby or a topaz. I've never had a chipped stone.
