Have you seen the two-gem engagement rings that are so popular right now? Megan Fox has one with an emerald and a diamond, side by side.
I found a lot of ones I love for a right-hand ring on Etsy, but I'm hoping Kathy Levine will introduce one because she said she is working on new designs.
(Amy S. presented a Diamonique version that sold out, but the stones were huge carat weight and completely unrealistic for everyday wear.)
I recently learned that the design was originally given to Josephine by Napoleon Bonaparte.
Everything old is new again.

@MarnieRez3    This is a case when a photo would be helpful because I'm sure many people don't know to what you're referring.

Am I remembering that Jackie Kennedy had an engagement ring in this style?  That was the first time I saw such a thing.

@Still Raining
Oh wow...great recall!
Mrs. Kennedy had an emerald and diamond side-by side...it WAS a toi et moi, and it was embellished with other diamonds around the main 2 stones. It truly had a giant gemstone presence.
Congratulations on your marvelous memory!

I like them set on the diagonal, but for the most part I prefer multiple stone rings have an odd number of stones.

Re: TOI ET MOI RINGS

[ Edited ]

My story (which I told on air at ShopHQ when Sonia Bitton was on):

Many years ago, DH proposed with a silver and enamel ring. Two hearts done in black enamel in silver with  marcasites that have the hearts entwined with one on each side facing each other and kind of diagonal on the finger (all but one have fallen out); it was what we could afford. Some day, we'd upgrade it. Someday never came. But houses, kids, braces, moves, cars, etc. all did. The ring just wasn't important enough to spend money on because I already had one Smiley Happy

On our 25th wedding anniversary, DH presented me with a beautiful dark blue box with a white ribbon around it. Inside was a GORGEOUS Toi et Moi ring with double hearts: one heart was a clear diamond, the other was a canary diamond (gorgeous yellow) set in 18k white gold, platinum and diamonds around the hearts, the settings, the shaft and the band. He had seen it on SHopHQ and reached out to Sonia because he wanted larger stones and a few things tweaked. In the end, it is almost identical to the one he proposed with long ago. People who see it love it as it quite unique. It's everything all in one ring.

"You and Me" is what Toi et Moi means. Yes indeed, He and I. Smiley Happy
