THE MONACOS - Difference in blue quartz description

I really love the monaco blue ring and earrings. I was reading the description for both and the ring says blue quartz and the earrings say synthetic blue quartz{#emotions_dlg.confused1} Which is it? Is it possible one would be REAL blue quartz and the other synthetic? Can someone also speak to the height of the ring? I don't like a ring to sit real high on my finger. Thanks, ladies.
