Swarkovski crystals?

What is it with jewelry containing these crystals, yes they are pretty, but you can buy them at a craft store for $6.00 a packet. My DH & I were looking at a necklace containing these crystals & as soon as the clerk took it out from under their presentation LED lights it looked dull & not so great-all for $125.00! These crystals are not rare.
