Sterling "Tree of Life" ring

Today I received J151901 and am in love. I knew that I should size up, because I wanted to wear it on my middle finger. My regular ring finger size is 6, knew that I would need a seven for this one to go over the ring finger due to the width of the band. However, as mentioned, I wanted to be able to wear this on my middle finger and for that reason I went to an eight.

Guess what? It's tight on my middle finger and I had to run my hands under running water to get it back off. Never in a million years would I have thought to go up THREE sizes! I don't think the ring runs small, it's just the width of the band.

Anyway, I am keeping it and will learn to love the look on my ring finger.

I guess there's a great story that goes along with this ring, but I didn't hear it. Can anyone relate it here? I fell in love with it because it is hand crafted in S. Africa.
